Industrial grade 550 has -65 to 2400°F temperature rating, making it suitable for high temperature applications in ethylene and acetylene piping, heat exchangers, and cat cracker connections. Formula is free of sulfur, lead, copper, and other environmentally undesirable metals. Its molybdenum disulfide content provides low coefficient of friction for rough-cut threads made of cast iron, steel, and most alloys. It is non-setting and prevents rust.
